Adaptawear are proud to announce our new ladies front fastening bra that has just arrived into our warehouse: Silver Post Surgery Bra.
Our latest release is perfect to take into hospital and designed to be worn in the early weeks after any type of breast surgery. The clever design features a seam free front and sides, to minimise irritation after surgery and is extremely comfortable.
Some features of the Silver Post Surgery Bra are:
- Front fastening with easy opening cushioned poppers
- Drop cups – straps can be unfastened to allow cups to drop down for easy access to surgery areas
- Seamless at front and sides to avoid irritation to incisions and scarring
- Magic straps with touch and close fastening for easy adjustment and more comfort on the shoulders
- Double layer cups for added support and can be used as pockets for “softie” prosthesis is required
- No fitting on back of bra
All our range of front fastening bras including the best-selling Comfi Bra (popper front fastening) and the Eezee Arthritic Bra (hook front fastening) are specifically designed for ladies with limited hand dexterity, arthritis, multiple sclerosis and limited upper arm mobility. The bras are designed for comfort and are perfect for ladies looking for some gentle support. They won’t offer the support and uplift of an underwired bra, but are a comfortable alternative and give more shape than a vest.
We understand that finding the right style of bra can sometimes mean buying several to try for fit and size. For your convenience we have now introduced a Free Returns Service for any bras that you wish to return for exchange or refund. In your delivery will be a returns/exchange form and bag with a 2nd class postage paid label.

We at Adaptawear are strong supports of Public Health England who have released a new report stating that less than half of people surveyed would contact 999 if they experienced symptoms of a mini stroke.
Former Bond Girl Jenny Hanley supports the Act FAST campaign and after experiencing mini strokes herself she said “It is vital that everyone is made aware of mini-strokes and the importance of doing something about them immediately”.
“Being unaware of what the symptoms of mini strokes are; meant I ignored my attacks and soldiered on, not seeking help until almost too late. It is vital that everyone is made aware of mini- strokes and the importance of doing something about them immediately.”
Just like a stroke, a mini-stroke is a medical emergency. There is no way of knowing if you are a stroke or mini stroke when the symptoms first start. If you want more information about life after a stroke do visit The Stroke Association website.
If you or you know anyone who has suffered from a stroke we at Adaptawear stock a wide range of adapted clothing which caters for stroke sufferers. Our discreetly adapted clothing focus on helping both independent and assisted dressing, supporting both wearers and carers. Our clothes include open back nightwear, drop front trousers and magnetic front fastening shirts. For more information do visit www.adaptawear.com.

As fellow supporters of Cancer Research we congratulate the researchers who have discovered that Pancreatic Cancer comes in four distinct types. The international team of scientists, including Cancer Research UK researchers have identified how and which genes can be damaged. The four types depend upon the extent of the cancers genetic shuffling (when large chunks of DNA are shuffled around). “Many decades of research has gone into this research and the new discovery provides opportunities for more personalised pancreatic cancer treatment” stated one Professor. Unfortunately among the genetic faults found some could be targeted with existing drugs.
We at Adaptawear notice the problems pancreatic cancer sufferers face and how this can make everyday increasingly difficult. Take a look at our range of ladies and men’s open back clothing that can help both the wearer and the carer and will help ease frustration when dressing. Because of this we stock a wide range of clothing tailored to cater for sufferers of Pancreatic Cancer like the A-line skirt with side zips or Unisex All-in-one Pyjamas with Shoulder to Ankle Zip.
Here at Adaptawear we do not want any condition to stop you from living independently or to disrupt your lifestyle. We therefore provide a wide range of discreetly adapted clothes that focus on helping both independent and assisted dressing. For more information do visit www.adaptawear.com.
